Provision of tax increment financing (TIF) assistance for improvement of Chase Park at 4701 N Ashland Ave

The City Council is considering an ordinance to provide Tax Increment Financing (TIF) assistance not to exceed $7,000,000 for improvements at Chase Park, located at 4701 N. Ashland Ave. The project includes facility upgrades such as renovated bathrooms and locker rooms, gym floor replacement, upgraded ventilation, new doors and windows, and new flooring. Site work will involve reconstructing tennis courts and paving park paths for accessibility. These funds will come from the Clark/Montrose TIF District.

Residents will benefit from improved facilities and accessibility at Chase Park, funded by TIF dollars, with no direct increase in property taxes.
