Library Commission 2025-26 Draft Agenda Schedule

This document outlines the draft agenda schedule for the City of Hayward Library Commission for the Fiscal Year 2025-2026. Meetings are generally scheduled for the third Monday of each month from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, with exceptions for holidays and recesses. Key topics planned for discussion throughout the year include:

• Organizational Matters: Election of officers, introduction of commissioners, review of welcome packets, and discussion of commission goals (October 2025).
• Operational Updates: Reports on eBooks and databases, Weekes Branch, Stack Center, technology programs, mobile outreach, and marketing services.
• Budget and Finance: Fall budget revision (November 2025) and mid-year budget review (January 2026).
• Policy and Governance: Updated Code of Conduct (November 2025, March 2026), change of meeting times/frequency (January 2026), updated Computer Use Policy (March 2026), and an AI Policy Update (August 2026).
• Programming and Services: Annual report and statistics (January 2026), educational services (Literacy, Citizenship, HSC), pre-K/children's/teen programs, adult and senior programming, and volunteer opportunities.

Several meetings are canceled or rescheduled, including a recess in December 2025, a canceled meeting in February 2026, and no meetings in April, July, or August 2026.
