This ordinance authorizes the Mayor to apply for 2026 grants from the Florida Inland Navigation District (FIND) for three waterways-related projects. The City will match FIND's funding contributions for these projects, which are overseen by the Department of Parks, Recreation & Community Services.

Projects to be funded include:

• Downtown Dredging - Construction: Dredging at seven public docking and boat ramp sites in the downtown area. The total estimated cost is $3,355,000, with FIND requested to contribute $1,525,000.
• Sisters Creek Dock Extension & Bathhouse - Construction (Phase 1): Constructing a bathhouse and access pier. The total estimated cost is $2,750,000, with FIND requested to contribute $1,250,000.
• T.K. Stokes Boat Ramp Bulkhead - Design: Designing a replacement for a deteriorating bulkhead and evaluating site drainage and the floating dock. The total estimated cost is $275,000, with FIND requested to contribute $125,000.

The total project cost across all three is $6,380,000, with FIND contributing $2,900,000 and the City matching $3,480,000 (which includes internal engineering fees). The City acknowledges its willingness to meet the funding requirements and authorizes the Mayor and Corporation Secretary to execute all necessary grant agreements.
