This ordinance officially renames Confederate Street, located between Hubbard Street and Liberty Street in Council District 7, to Rose Arbor Way. The change was recommended by the Springfield Preservation and Revitalization Council, Inc. to honor the historic rose arbor in Springfield Park. The renaming affects the address assignments for one property owner (the City of Jacksonville, which consented) and a Small Cell Equipment locator (deemed to have consented due to non-response). The Jacksonville Historic Preservation Commission and the 911 Emergency Addressing Advisory Committee have both reviewed and approved the renaming. The City will install a new street sign to reflect the change. The ordinance directs the Legislative Services Division to forward the enacted ordinance to the Public Works Department for processing and coordination with relevant agencies.
