Chrysta D. Bowman, a Duval County resident, has been appointed to the Jacksonville – Duval County Council on Elder Affairs. She will represent Council District 6 and fill the seat formerly held by Michael Beck. Her first full term will expire on June 30, 2027. Ms. Bowman has a background in applied management, medical assisting, and mental health, and also serves as a volunteer chaplain for the Jacksonville Sheriff Office. The Council on Elder Affairs advocates for older persons and assists in the implementation of relevant programs. This appointment has no direct cost to the City.
