She will serve a first full term ending May 31, 2027, replacing Chanel Dionne Toleston. Ms. Thomas is a Duval County resident and a survivor mentor at the Delores Barr Weaver Policy Center. The Sex Trafficking Survivors Leadership Council is an advisory body tasked with investigating the root causes of sex trafficking, developing prevention measures, and advising the City Council on policies to eliminate sex trafficking in the city. The council consists of seven members, all of whom must be sex trafficking survivors residing in or having significant business interests in Duval County.
