This ordinance amends Ordinance 2025-713-E to extend the grant term for the Jacksonville NABJ Government, Legal and Youth Media Initiative. The original grant of $10,000 to NABJ Northeast Florida, Inc. (Jax NABJ) was approved on September 23, 2025, with a term ending December 31, 2025. The extension, requested because Jax NABJ experienced delays in registering as a vendor in the City's 1Cloud accounting system, pushes the grant term end date to September 1, 2026. All other terms and conditions of the grant agreement remain the same. The initiative aims to strengthen local journalism, provide legal insights for journalists, recognize Black media professionals, and offer youth media programming.
