A Resolution authorizing and directing the Mayor, on behalf of the Urban County Government, to execute a Release of Claims Agreement with Officer Pat Murray Jr., for care of retired Canine Echo. [Div. of Police, Weathers]

This resolution authorizes the Mayor to sign a Release of Claims Agreement with Officer Pat Murray Jr. regarding the care of retired police canine, Echo. The agreement allows Officer Murray to take custody of Echo, who is a 10-year-old canine with diminished drive and workability, at the end of his service career. In exchange for receiving the canine, Officer Murray agrees not to use Echo for off-duty employment in security or law enforcement and is prohibited from selling or transferring Echo to another public safety entity. There is no budgetary impact associated with this agreement. The resolution is effective upon passage.
