This resolution authorizes the Mayor to submit a grant application to the Kentucky Department for Environmental Protection - Division of Waste Management for $110,000 to fund a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event for Fayette County. The acceptance of this grant would obligate the Urban County Government to provide a local match of $27,500. The grant funds, awarded under the Recycling and Household Hazardous Waste Grant Program established by Senate Bill 50 (KRS 224.43-505 (2)(c)), will be used to contract with an approved vendor for the proper disposal of collected hazardous waste.
