Neighborhood Development Funds, January 27, 2026

This document outlines the allocation of Neighborhood Development Funds for January 27, 2026. Several community organizations and associations are set to receive funding for various purposes:

• William Wells Brown Neighborhood Association: $750.00 for back-payment of showmobile rental.
• Green Acres, Hollow Creek, Breckinridge Neighborhood Association: $750.00 for the removal of 5 hazardous trees on HOA property.
• Institute 193, Inc.: $2,000.00 for expenses related to their Christmas luncheon.
• Studio Players, Inc.: $1,500.00 for hearing assistance system repair and upgrade.
• Meadow Creek Neighborhood Association: $449.78 for their 1st annual neighborhood block party.
• Western Pennsylvania Search and Rescue Development Center - Bluegrass Division: $1,500.00 for blessing bags (hats, blankets, gloves, hand warmers, socks, water, food) for those facing food and housing insecurity.
• EmpowerHer Academy of Lexington: $1,000.00 to support the production of merchandise for their annual fundraising campaign.
• Project Ricochet: $1,000.00 for expenses related to their Christmas luncheon.
• Charleston Gardens HOA: $2,650.00 to assist with expenses related to their end-of-year luncheon in May 2026.
• LFUCG - Parks and Recreation: $270.00 to assist with expenses related to the 2026 Central Kentucky Black Family Conference.
• Little Red Blessing Food Box: $1,150.00 to help maintain free food boxes in several neighborhoods.
• Lexington Rescue Mission: $1,450.00 for their annual Walk for Warmth event.
• Lexington Ballet Company: $1,500.00 for support of the Smart Share Community Outreach Program.
• Douglass Baseball Boosters: $750.00 for assistance with purchasing baseball uniforms and gear for team members unable to cover the cost.
• Edythe J. Hayes PTSA: $1,500.00 for supporting their annual Hayes Craze Back-to-School event.
