This resolution authorizes the Mayor to execute a Field Placement Education Agreement with Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) for the placement of student interns within the Division of Parks and Recreation. This agreement is at no cost to the Urban County Government. The program aims to provide practical learning experiences for EKU students in areas such as trail maintenance, land management, and public program implementation within parks like Raven Run and McConnell Springs, as well as support for Therapeutic Recreation programming. The agreement is subject to annual review and can be terminated with 30 days' written notice by either party. EKU will maintain professional liability insurance of $1,000,000 per claim and $3,000,000 in the aggregate.
