This reconfirmation includes a significant expansion of the BID's boundaries south along Sunset Boulevard to Fountain Avenue, aligning with the Los Feliz Neighborhood Council's District C.

Financial Details:

• The proposed total assessment for 2026 is $100,175.00. After accounting for estimated reserves and uncollected assessments ($19,033.25), the operational budget is $82,641.75.
• This marks the first modest assessment increase in 20 years, enabling the restoration of services like regular power washing and enhanced core programs.
• Assessments range from $125 to $875 annually, based on business type and employee count.
• The BID's assessments are found to be exempt from Proposition 26 as they provide direct benefits to assessed businesses and do not exceed reasonable costs.

Programs & Services:

• Beautification ($55,500.00): Includes trash collection, street sweeping, gutter cleaning, power washing, decorative lighting, and public art projects.
• Communication ($3,000.00): Focuses on maintaining the BID website, publishing newsletters, and hosting member events.
• Marketing & Public Relations ($7,500.00): Promotes local businesses through social media, online/printed directories, seasonal campaigns (e.g., Holiday Market, Dine Out Los Feliz), and community identity banners.
• Administration ($15,241.75): Covers operational expenses, insurance, and legal advice.

Administration & Process:

• The BID will continue to be administered by the Los Feliz Village Business Improvement Corporation, a California non-profit, without competitive bidding due to its unique expertise from 24 years of operation.
