Motion (Padilla – Blumenfield) relative to a comprehensive traffic study of the Woodman Corridor from Van Nuys Boulevard to Saticoy Street.

This motion instructs the Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) to conduct a comprehensive traffic study of the Woodman Corridor from Van Nuys Boulevard to Saticoy Street. This action is in response to recent tragic incidents, including two fatalities on Woodman Avenue between Devonshire Street and Nordhoff Street within a three-year period, and a total of 67 reported traffic collisions in that segment. The study will identify critical safety needs and assess the feasibility of installing improvements such as dedicated bike routes, crosswalks, streetlighting, and increased LAPD patrols. LADOT will be required to report back to the City Council with the study's findings and proposed next steps for implementation.
