Motion (Hutt – Lee) relative to requesting the Department of Recreation and Parks and Department of Cultural Affairs to collaborate in obtaining approval from their respective Commissions for the permanent display of the donated “Seoul, My Soul” sculpture at Seoul International Park.

This motion requests the Department of Recreation and Parks and the Department of Cultural Affairs to collaborate on obtaining approval from their respective Commissions for the permanent display of the donated “Seoul, My Soul” sculpture at Seoul International Park. The sculpture, representing the slogan chosen by Seoulites, was previously displayed at a Seoul Business Agency promotional booth and then donated to the Los Angeles Korean Festival Foundation, which now wishes to donate it to the City. Seoul International Park is considered an ideal location due to its name and central position within Koreatown, where the sculpture will symbolize the vibrant Korean American community.
