PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE REPORT relative to issuing a Revocable Permit for the construction of permanent improvements within the public right-of-way at Moss Avenue from Fletcher Drive to its southeasterly terminus joining Roswell Street to the intersection of Estara Avenue prior to the adoption of the Street Vacation.

The Public Works Committee is recommending the authorization for the Bureau of Engineering to issue a Revocable Permit to the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). This permit will allow LAUSD to construct permanent improvements within the public right-of-way on Moss Avenue, from Fletcher Drive to its southeasterly terminus joining Roswell Street, and extending to the intersection of Estara Avenue. This action is being taken prior to the formal adoption of the street vacation proceedings for this area, which are currently underway. The purpose is to allow LAUSD to begin site prep and construction for a multi-year rehabilitation project at Washington Irving Middle School.

Residents may experience temporary construction impacts on Moss Avenue and Roswell Street as the LAUSD begins improvements for Washington Irving Middle School, prior to the formal street vacation.
