A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to outreach and education regarding the proper disposal of household cooking oil and grease

This local law, Int. No. 696, introduced by Council Members Narcisse, Brooks-Powers, Lee, and Nurse, mandates that the Department of Environmental Protection, in collaboration with the Department of Sanitation, conduct outreach and education to the general public on the proper disposal of household cooking oil and grease. This will include disseminating written materials and posting them on the Department of Environmental Protection's website. The law takes effect immediately.
