Approval and execution of Easement between Orange County and Peoples Gas System, Inc. for East Orange Community Center (Peoples Gas System Easement). District 4. (Real Estate Management Division)

Orange County is granting a perpetual easement to Peoples Gas System, Inc. for the East Orange Community Center property. This easement, spanning ten (10) feet along the centerline of the proposed facilities, will allow for the placement, construction, operation, maintenance, repair, replacement, and removal of underground gas lines and associated aboveground and underground appurtenances, including telecommunications equipment and pipeline markers. The County, as Grantor, reserves the right to install minor landscaping, irrigation, or fencing as long as it does not interfere with the gas facilities, change the grade, or cause water impoundment. Peoples Gas System is responsible for promptly repairing any damage caused by their operations. The agreement also outlines that the County will bear the sole expense for relocating the facilities if requested by the County. The easement is located within Section 22, Township 22S, Range 31E.
