This resolution, introduced by Councilmember Squilla and adopted on December 11, 2025, officially renames Latimer Street between 12th and Camac Streets as “Pierre Robert Way.” This renaming honors the life and legacy of William Pierre Robert, a legendary humanitarian, deejay, and entertainer. Known as the "Voice of Philadelphia Rock" during his 44-year career at 93.3 WMMR, Robert was inducted into the Philadelphia Music Walk of Fame in 2019. Beyond his significant impact on the city's music scene, he was a dedicated community champion, co-founding Manna's Pie in the Sky fundraiser (raising millions for hunger relief) and steadfastly supporting Philly's LGBTQ+ community, including those living with HIV/AIDS.

Residents will see a portion of Latimer Street renamed to "Pierre Robert Way", serving as a permanent tribute to a beloved local figure who significantly contributed to Philadelphia's music culture and community service.
