Honoring and recognizing Inner Strength Education during the celebration of its 10-Year Anniversary for its decade of transformative work empowering Philadelphia’s youth through mindfulness-based social-emotional learning, trauma-sensitive mentoring, and whole-person developmental programming, as part of the Children & Youth Spotlight, which celebrates community-centered organizations uplifting young people across the City.

The City Council of Philadelphia is honoring and recognizing Inner Strength Education for its 10-year anniversary of empowering Philadelphia's youth. Since its founding in 2014 by Amy Edelstein, the organization has provided mindfulness-based social-emotional learning and trauma-sensitive mentoring to over 35,000 students and 5,000 teachers across the School District of Philadelphia. Research from Syracuse University indicates statistically significant improvements in adolescent well-being among participants.

This resolution celebrates a local organization that provides valuable social-emotional learning and mental health support to Philadelphia's youth and educators.
