Renaming and designating the property commonly referred to as Wissinoming Park, located at 5801 Frankford Ave, as “Margaret Tartaglione Park” in the City of Philadelphia.

This ordinance, introduced by Councilmember Lozada on September 11, 2025, officially renames Wissinoming Park, located at 5801 Frankford Ave, to “Margaret Tartaglione Park”. The renaming honors Margaret “Marge” Tartaglione, a lifelong Philadelphian, former City Commissioner, and longtime Democratic Leader of the 62nd Ward, recognized for her dedication to public service, breaking barriers for women in politics, and commitment to grassroots community issues. The ordinance takes effect immediately upon approval.

Residents will now refer to the park at 5801 Frankford Ave by its new name, “Margaret Tartaglione Park”, honoring a significant figure in Philadelphia's political history.
