To authorize the Chief Administrative Officer, for and behalf of the City of Richmond, to execute a Lease Agreement between the City of Richmond, as landlord, and Virginia Community Voice, as tenant, for the purpose of leasing certain real property located at 2015 Ruffin Road.

This ordinance authorizes the Chief Administrative Officer to execute a Lease Agreement between the City of Richmond and Virginia Community Voice (VACV) for the property located at 2015 Ruffin Road, formerly known as the old T.B. Smith Center. The lease is for a term of one year, with the possibility of a one-year extension, and can be terminated by either party with 30 days' notice. VACV will use the space for non-profit purposes, including community leadership programs, healing initiatives, and supporting their vision for a South Richmond Center for Rest & Healing. The annual base rent is $250. VACV is responsible for routine maintenance, repairs for damages they cause, and obtaining necessary permits and insurance. The City will cover utilities, trash removal, and major structural maintenance.
