California State Library Zip Books Project grant award of $14,760 for library materials - Supplemental appropriation - Five affirmative votes required (All Wards)

The City Council is asked to accept a $14,760 grant award from the California State Library for the Zip Books Project. This grant will fund the purchase of library materials, allowing the library to acquire requested items it does not currently own, which can then be shipped directly to patrons. The project term runs from July 1, 2025, to August 31, 2026. The award requires a supplemental appropriation in the same amount to be recorded in the Grants and Restricted Programs Fund.
