The City Council is recommended to award Bid No. 8209 to Universal Construction and Engineering, Inc. of Palm Desert, California, for the construction of the Riverside Civil Rights Walk Project. This project, funded by the Capital Outlay-Grant Riverside Civil Rights Walk Accounts, will create a themed active transportation loop featuring 24 monuments, thermoplastic markings, and wayfinding signs to guide pedestrians through sites significant to Riverside's civil rights history. The project aims to enhance pedestrian safety and mobility while educating the public about local civil rights achievements.
