Award three one-thousand-dollar grants to organizations recommended by Human Relations Commission as part of the Community Support Grant program (All Wards)

The City Council is awarding three $1,000 grants to the Muslim Family Foundation-California, 712 Tile and Shower, and the Rene Williams Foundation as part of the 2026 Community Support Grant program. This program, initiated in 2023 and managed by the Human Relations Commission (HRC), provides annual funding to nonprofit and community groups for initiatives that further the HRC’s mission of promoting mutual understanding and inclusion. The HRC unanimously recommended these three recipients from a pool of 16 applicants during their February 26, 2026 meeting. The total fiscal impact is $3,000, funded through the HRC’s annual administrative budget (General Fund, account 1100000-450051).
