The Human Services Agency (HSA) is authorized to accept and expend a grant of $268,000 from the Blue Cross of California Partnership Plan, Inc. (Anthem) for the "Housing and Homelessness Incentive Program Funding - San Francisco". This grant will be utilized from April 1, 2026, through March 31, 2030. The funds will support increased access to and advocacy for HSA public benefits (such as Medi-Cal, In-Home Supportive Services, and Social Security Insurance) for unhoused individuals. This will be achieved through a partnership between HSA and the Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing (SFHSH), including funding an HSA trainer dedicated to SFHSH. The grant funds will not supplant existing funding and will not include indirect costs, to maximize their use on direct program expenditures.

This grant will enhance services for unhoused individuals by improving their access to essential public benefits like Medi-Cal and other support programs, potentially leading to greater stability and access to care.
