Retroactive Approval and Approval of Multiple Special Events Sponsored by Council District 7 as City Council Sponsored Special Events to Expend City Funds and Accept Donations of Materials and Services for the Events.

The City Council is being asked to retroactively approve and approve multiple special events sponsored by Council District 7. These events include flag raisings (POW/MIA, Korean Hangul Day, TET/Lunar New Year, Black April), dumpster days in various neighborhoods (Alma, Communications Hill, Vietnamese Heritage Garden, Tropicana-Lanai, Lone Bluff, West Evergreen, McLaughlin-Corridor), a neighborhood holiday party, a toy distribution, and a career seminar.

The approval allows for the expenditure of city funds and the acceptance of donations of materials and services for these events. Councilmember Bien Doan will report any cash or in-kind donations received on their Disclosure of Fundraising Report (DFR-1). The events span from September 19, 2025, to April 30, 2026.
