Approval of District 1 San José Sharks Community Funds Grant for American Leadership Forum Silicon Valley.

The City Council is considering approving a $1,000 grant from the District 1 San José Sharks Community Fund to the American Leadership Forum Silicon Valley (ALF). This grant will support ALF's leadership development programs, which convene diverse, cross-sector leaders to foster collaboration and address complex community issues. Councilmember Rosemary Kamei, a Senior Fellow of ALF, proposed the grant, which requires advance City Council approval per Policy Number 0-38. ALF is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The Rules and Open Government Committee recommended approval on April 1, 2026, with the final decision to be made by the City Council on April 7, 2026.
